| Amani: Making Movies to Raise Awareness
Amani Children’s Home has addressed the challenge of raising awareness by creating a video about its work with Tanzanian children. Created by British filmmakers, Blain Fairman and Stephen Mowatt, the five minute video tells the inspiring story of Amani and the love and care it provides for homeless and orphaned children in Tanzania. British actor Jason Flemyng narrates the tale of Amani’s vision, conception and growth. The video, which can be viewed on Amani’s homepage as well as on their YouTube user account, has already been viewed almost 3,500 times on YouTube alone.
Additionally, Amani Children’s Home introduced a video journal of the children’s lives, posting a vibrant new clip online at regular intervals. The clips provide glimpses of daily life; each one focuses on a topic such as community cleaning at the end of the month and having fun at the playground. The video journal clips can also be viewed on Amani’s YouTube user account page. Back | ![]() |
