SUCCESS STORY

Africa Rising works by extending the networks of the organizations we support. This summer we did this for the Millenium School in Mityana, Uganda. With guidance from Africa Rising, some faculty and staff of Duke University’s Global Health Institute created a summer project that would benefit the Millenium School and some Duke students who would carry out the project. The work of Africa Rising is done by about 12 people and continues to grow. We all have “day jobs” and volunteer our evenings and weekends to the work of Africa Rising.
