| WOMEDA Success Stories
The mission of WOMEDA is to promote the status of the marginalized groups in Karagwe, Tanzania by creating and strengthening equal opportunities for women, men and children through provision of socioeconomic, legal and human rights activities in order to attain sustainable development.
When Mary Muhara, Africa Rising's East Africa Liason, visited WOMEDA in 2009 she met with four beneficiaries of WOMEDA's services. Each one shared a personal story of the challenges they faced and how WOMEDA's legal counsel had changed their lives. Here are their stories:
